What Is Height? (height)

The file resolution is usually given in Height and width. While these values refer to the size of the file in a way, it should not be confused with the file size. Height and width give a representation of the visual size of the file, while file size refers to the space the file takes up on a hard drive.

Furthermore, a file’s Height differs from the image height which can also be found in many files. The latter only appears in images or video files to determine the vertical value of the visual interpretation. The general Height can be found in many different files though. It is not exclusive to video and image files.

Height in a document refers to the vertical amount of pixels of the page. In audio files, the Height (and width) are given, when the file contains information about a cover image as well.
